About SAMS

  • SAMS stands for Student Academic Management System. It was initiated in 2009-10 Academic Session for 60 Junior Colleges. As per Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Orissa order No. 84485 Dated 1412-2009 and Dept. of Higher Education G.O.No. 344 dated 04-01-2010 it has been extended to 169 Government and Government Aided,(Non-Government)Junior College. This is also applicable for +3 wings from the Session 2011.

Objectives

  • Ensure single window system for admission though e- admission process.
  • Make the admission process economical for the applicants / parents.
  • Make the entire process of admission from application to admission transparent, thereby, reducing anxiety among applicants / parents.
  • Reduce the work of college by developing several modules of administration usingthe databases of admission process.

E-Admission

  • E-Admission aims to use Information Technology to process applicants for admission which would reduce time & improve efficiency for the college functionaries who have been doing manually. It would also make the admission process economical efficient, hassle free & transparent for the students and their parents computergenerated filled aplication from and travel to only one of the 410 colleges Junior and 382 Degree Colleges under e-Admission process to submit the applicable to get admission to any stream of any college of their choices.

E-Administration

  • E-Administration aims to use the database of e- Admission in various academic & administrative activities like issue of identify card collection of fees, section allocation, issue of admit cards, tabulation of internal examinsations marks, submission of return of matriculation to +2 council, preparation of long roll, etc, and the same is applicable for +3 streams it wi folow e- Admission in pilot phase colleges. In other colleges, student database will have to be created to make e- Administration possible.

Common Prospectus(CP)

It has two components. One part is general guldeline & second one is individual college profile. This will be available in Higher Education website www.dheorissa.in in downloadable format to take printout.

  • The first part of CP will have features of e-Admission like Section Guidelines., Reservation & Weightage Principls. etc.
  • In the second part of CP i.e individual college profile willhave freatures like Seat Availability. Subject Availability. Elective Combination., College Admission “Cut-Off” of mark of last 2years for various streams, Hostel Seat Availability, Total Fees required for admission for each of the 169 Junior College.

Common Application Form(CAF)

  • Common Application Form (CAF) for filling out the 10th Board details like (Board name, Year of Passing & Roll Number as per Admit Card). correspondence address, personal information, reservation & weightage details, etc. CAF has been restricted to maximum 6 options to put your choicess of College / stream in order of perferecnes where one would like to study,.
  • In case the student reports at college after the last date of admission, the student has to intimate the international admission office of the college and take special permission for late reporting. The student will not get any benefit related to classroom lectures or marks or class assessments missed due to delay in reporting.However,in any case of emergency or global pandemic the students can attend the online classes as arrange by the college.

Common Application Form(CAF)/Common Prospectus(CP)

  • Common Application Form (CAF) & Common Prospectus (CP) won’t be printed by Colleges. These will available in the website www.dheorissa.in. Applicants may download the relevant pages from the teneral matters, process and principles for admission will be provided and sold at th4e6 Colleges for Rs10/- per copy.

Eligibility

  • The minimum eligibility for admission to +2 or higher secondary cases shal be apass in High School Certificate (HSC) Examination of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Orissa or its equivalent. For +3 Arts one must have passed +2 exams. Art, Science, Commerce, Vocational and Upashasrti. For +3 Science one must have passed +2 Science or Vocational Course at the CHSE lavel.
